Sports Medicine & Injuries

Not only do we specialize in minimally invasive treatment of neck and back pain with expert use of appropriate spinal injection procedures, but as a   physical medicine and rehab specialist also having training in sports medicine I am able to offer even more. A physician directed therapeutic exercise program is provided for each patient. That way you won’t waste your time receiving generic “cookie cutter” exercises, with the same passive modalities (ultrasound, massage, heat, cold) and spinal manipulation for 6-12 months as we have commonly seen, wondering why you’re not getting better.  Instead of using physical therapy assistants or athletic trainers as is done in some other settings, we work exclusively with highly trained physical therapists who specialize in spine and sports medicine.

For instance, we saw a few patients a couple months ago who came into our office dissatisfied with their prior care. The common complaint of all of them was that “they weren’t given any answers” and that “all they did was give me pain medicine, send me to therapy and tried giving me some kind of shots that made things even worse.” Fortunately for them, we were able to steer them back onto the right course.
