Back, Neck & Hip Pain

The number one reason patients see me whether it’s from neck pain, back pain or a herniated disc is to avoid being a victim of being left with chronic pain, suffering physically, psychologically and even financially because of an undiagnosed  or misdiagnosed injury .

If you have a broken bone we obviously make sure that you have the appropriate referral, but typically after seeing a pt that has just left the ER, they have already had the proper studies to rule this out. We know that the most effective treatment is based on the most accurate diagnosis. Because I was trained by an interventional radiologist, I also have the expertise to use a patient’s imaging studies (x-ray, mri, cat scan) as a  guide for the appropriate diagnostic plan.  Furthermore, much of my success is based on a very simple skill; listening to the patient.

Through seeing patients from other practices we have noticed that patient’s on chronic pain medicine do not have a diagnosis. Some of them have been through narcotic (morphine, methodone, fentanyl or oxycontin) detoxification and have developed severe depression and dysability. It’s sad to see but we see it often.   The chronic narcotics give the patient the illiusion that they are better but instead really walk around with an undiagnosed injury with no specific treatment.
